Dr. Robert H. Carlson, D.D.S.
Dr. Robert Carlson was a native of Heidelberg, Germany and later moved to New Orleans, LA. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. Once he returned home, he began his involvement in the dental field by earning his Associate of Dental Technology. He ultimately decided to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. He received his Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences in 2004 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He then moved on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in May of 2008.
With new techniques and technologies being developed all the time, Dr. Carlson believes that continuing education is a vital part of practicing dentistry. He has been continuing his own education with such prestigious organizations as the MISCH Institute, the Center for Advanced Dental Education, Progressive Orthodontics, ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantalogists), and the Pankey Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Louisiana Dental Association (LDA), the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation (DOCS), and the LSU Alumni Association. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and CPR. As of 2011, Dr. Robert Carlson achieved his Fellowhip with ICOI.
Dr. Carlson had the pleasure of being a sponsor for the Medical Global Brigade to Honduras in May 2013. As a Marine veteran, he supports our troops and the Marine Corps Toys for Tots annually. In addition, Dr. Robert Carlson advocates healthy living by implementing healthy eating habits with his wife.
Dr. Carlson has been married 29 years to his best friend, Victoria. And together they have one daughter, Vivianne. He enjoys fishing and watching LSU Football games.
